Latest Rugby, Golf and Hockey news
Rugby – the 1st XV travelled to Dundee to play Dundee High. Another defeat 62 points to 6 means this Saturday’s match with Falkirk at Inverleith becomes crucial.
Golf – better news was hearing that Grant Forrest achieved his best finish to date on the European Challenge Tour tieing second in the Hainan Open in China with a four round aggregate of 16 under par 272 two shots behind the winner South African Erik van Rooyen – all this immediately following an appearance in the Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns. This gets him a starting place in this week’s $500,000 Forshan Open also in China. Hopefully he can continue his good form.
Hockey: The ESMS 1st mens team had a 2-1 win over Stirling University. They are now on 3 wins and 1 defeat in NL3. They have a curry and quiz night coming up on Saturday 28th October in the clubhouse at 7pm. Contact socialsecretary@esmhc.com . The cost is £8.
