Clubhouse Hire Terms and Conditions
- The Clubhouse and associated facilities are available for hire.
- The person who books the Clubhouse will ensure that it is left reasonably clean and tidy.
- The person making the booking will be responsible for all in attendance and any damage caused during the function.
- Catering can only be provided by the Club’s authorised caterers A J Catering Ltd. Menus & costs are available from Joyce Waterston (Tel: 07775 675388 ).
- Bookings will be accepted on payment of a booking fee currently £165.00 (Former Pupils £135.00) including vat. These fees are non-refundable.
- Payment can be made by transfer to DSMCFP Club account number 00873438 at Bank of Scotland sort-code 80-31-20 or by cheque made payable to SMCFP Club and sent to The Secretary, SMCFP Club, The Clubhouse, 523 Ferry Road, Edinburgh, EH5 2DW.
- Bookings at which alcohol will be available for purchase are subject to the provisions of the Club’s Constitution and the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005.
- No alcohol may be brought into the premises – all beverages must be purchased, or pre-ordered, through the Club. The Club has a limited wine list and specific requests will be complied with so far as possible provided sufficient notice has been given.
- No smoking is permitted in any part of the premises.
- The latest times that the bar may remain open are; Sunday to Thursday 11.00pm, Fridays and Saturdays 1:00am.
- Decorations, if required, must be attached to the walls or ceilings carefully so that no damage is caused and only Blue-Tack, Sellotape or equivalent may be used.
- The Club’s stewardess, Denise Mitchell, may be contacted on 07708 199405 to advise on any aspect of your booking. You should contact her a few days before your event to confirm numbers and any special requirements.
- Birthday parties will only be accepted for 21sts and older.
- If children are in attendance they must be under the strict control of parents or guardians and kept away from the immediate bar serving area.
- The person who books the Club must familiarise themselves with Fire exits, evacuation routes and meeting points.
