Ken Russell, President 2020-23

Kenneth (“Ken”) Russell (M 1965)

Ken Russell attended Melville College between 1952 and 1965.

Following a year as an overseas student at Lincoln Way High School in Chicago he attended Napier University from 1966 to 1970 graduating with a degree in Building while employed at Crudens.  Thereafter he was chairman and managing director of  Russell Construction Limited (1971-1998) and Calbourne Business Services from 1972 to the present.  He currently acts as a business advisor and mentor and has held various business non executive  directorships and was President of the Federation of Master Builders in 1990/91 and President of the St Andrews Business Club from 2012 to 2015.  He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a member of The Royal Company of Merchants and a member of the Society of High Constables of Edinburgh. On returning to Edinburgh from the USA he was a playing member of the Melville College FP Rugby Club for a number of years.
